Nicholas Sparks can fuck off.

Yeah, i said it.

He pisses me off a lot. He gives men and women this very unrealistic view of relationships. When people say "this kind of stuff only happens in movies", what they really mean to say is that "this stuff only happens in Nicholas Sparks novels". For those of you not familiar with his work, he has written the novel versions of Dear John, A Walk to Remember, and The Notebook.

Now i would be lying if I said I haven't seen any of his movies. But I refuse to read his novels. Why? because the movies suck badly enough.

But this isn't about the quality of his movies. this is about creating an unrealistic view of relationships. Maybe i'm just "too rational", but I view relationships as more of an opportunity to spend a lifetime with someone you care about, not a chance to fall in love before they kick the bucket or go to war or whatever.

Yeah, i know it's just a movie, but it still pisses me off.
