You just quite don't get it.
I'm sitting here on the Lake Shore, watching the waves roll in and out crashing against the rocks.
The sunbeam reflects a glare onto my computer, so I can barely see what I'm writing.
Hopefully its not gibberish.
Anyway, imagine this:
You are the glistening waters of Lake Michigan,
and your life is represented by rocks its crashing into.
And the campus facing the lake is your destination.
And the campus facing the lake is your destination.
It doesn't look like you're getting far in life,
the rocks are keeping you at bay.
While the other side is waiting for you.
While the other side is waiting for you.
Or so it seems.
These rocks have been here for a while now,
and the water just as long.
If you look twice, the rocks are getting shanty and brittle.
Collecting algae and junk.
Collecting algae and junk.
And in a few years, these rocks will have been whittled away.
The waves erode and pick away at the rocks.
Day by day, month by month, year by year.
So if you're the wave, and life is the rock....
Go eat some breakfast.
